Informational Websites

Informational Websites describe the majority of websites. Their purpose is provide information about your company. You do not buy products or services directly on the site, though these will be listed. Examples include:

A restaurant displaying its menu

A tradesperson advertising services

A public service site

A review site comparing a variety of third party products

And thousands of other possibilities.

Informational websites typically range from a single page through to 5 pages (though they can ten times and more than that for large information sites). Also note that a single blog/news page can have many, many blogposts/news items.

They might include these pages:

Home
About Us
Services/Products
Blog/News
Contact

How much does an informational website cost?

This will depend on many things – each website is uniquely crafted to meet your custom needs. Having said that, a typical range for a 1-5 page site is between £800 and £1800.  Please see our FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) guide for details of what is included in our quotes.

If you are operating in multiple areas, offer multiple products and services, or would like to provide detailed information about any of these, you’ll likely need more than 5 pages to fully promote your business and maximise your SEO potential (the number of visitors you attract to your website).

There’s a chance further down this page to request a quote. But before you skip straight to that, you might find the following offer worth your while!

If you’d like to minimise the cost to have your website designed, we recommend this short online course. Not only will it help you to think about what you want from your website, it will help you to produce a website specification that maximises the chances of your website developer building exactly what you want, when you want, at the price you want!

You want me to take a course? Are you serious – I don’t have the time!

You don’t have to take it, of course.  But it takes very little time, has proven to easily save more than that time later on in the build, helps your web developer quote more accurately, and if you are not experienced in commissioning a website has proven to be a really useful experience. It’s delivered in bite sized chunk videos with links to some useful resources.

What’s more – if you complete the course and decide to use us to build your site,

we’ll give you £100 off our quote as a thank you!

What do you mean “a thank you” ?

If you have a clear idea of what you want and what we need, before we start building, it makes our life easier. That saves us time. That saves you money.

We find the same sorts of questions crop up time and time again so this is our way of trying to make it easier and quicker for all involved 🙂

To be clear – we will happily work with clients who choose not to take this, and help you throughout the whole process. Don’t forget, our initial chat is completely free and carries no obligation
